Grandma’s Oatmeal Cookies

This is my absolute favorite cookie recipe that my wife has, and it is called: Grandma’s Oatmeal Cookies!




  • 1 C. crisco
  • 1 C. brown sugar
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 C. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 C. oats

Thoroughly cream crisco and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Add remainder of the dry ingredients except oats, and then mix. After mixing, add the oats, and then mix well. For best results, chill overnight, or for 6-8 hours. Once chilling is complete, turn oven on to 350 degrees F. and use a spoon to shape your cookies. Place cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet and back for 10 minutes.
